We’ve A Place Under The Sun

I wrote this one day on a whim, wanting to wish my wife a good day, when I knew her day started off kinda bad for her.

We’ve A Place Under the Sun

To my Wife

Under the sun we know joy and strife,
But you can take this to the piggybank,
We all live by the fire of love and life,
A circle of energy that we’ve all drank.

The circle is real, all of us in the same one,
The energy to live and love from the sun,
It is the beginning and the end of us all,
From light we came to us the light will call.

Under the sun we know joy and strife,
But you can take this to the piggybank,
We all live by the fire of love and life,
A circle of energy that we’ve all drank.

From the sun, to the leaves of the tree,
A being alive and simple as it can be,
And oh so beautiful is the tree so green,
A natural wonder of beauty I have seen.

Under the sun we know joy and strife,
But you can take this to the piggybank,
We all live by the fire of love and life,
A circle of energy that we’ve all drank.

The tree itself home and food for many things,
And to which all life needs and so it clings,
Take for instance the small pretty ladybug,
Eating leaves and living in the bark so snug.

Under the sun we know joy and strife,
But you can take this to the piggybank,
We all live by the fire of love and life,
A circle of energy that we’ve all drank.

At least until comes along a big bullfrog,
Up from a nearby stream it did so slog,
And so saw in the ladybug its own next meal,
As it, like we, lives fast, lives hard, lives real.

Under the sun we know joy and strife,
But you can take this to the piggybank,
We all live by the fire of love and life,
A circle of energy that we’ve all drank.

Like the frog, the ladybug, and the tree,
There’s a place for us all, you and me,
So let’s love hard and real like we live life,
Put your hand in mine, my beautiful wife,
And even when we seem to be on the wire,
We’ll have each other, alight by our fire,
A place for all things, circles under the sun,
You and me Mo Chara, we are also as one.
