The Dragon & the Stranger

I’m not so traditional that the Dragon is the Bad Guy every time. I oft write of imaginary realms and the things I imagine there. I hope you find this one entertaining, if but a little dark.

T’was a glorious Dragon over yonder,
Until to there a Stranger did wander,
With great Magic and terrible might,
He engaged the dragon in its last fight,
In the twilight among those hills of yore,
The Dragon met its end forever more.

T’Dragon was a thing of beauty and grace,
And it kept to its own forgotten place,
She was such a beautiful wyrm of old,
And ne’er of her terror twas ever told,
Only to protect her life anyone saw,
Her brilliant flames escape her maw.

The Stranger walked not upon the ground,
His bloodlust all who knew had found,
With a Dragon Blade of silver and of gold,
He approached the dragon so bold,
Filled within with his dark evil flames,
He played with her, death dealing games.

T’was a glorious Dragon over yonder,
Until to there a Stranger did wander,
With great Magic and terrible might,
He engaged the dragon in its last fight,
In the twilight among those hills of yore,
The Dragon met its end forever more.
